Welcome to Mamma Mia, which translated from Italian means "My Mother." The name seemed natural in dedication to my mother who prepared many great and authentic Italian recipes through the years and passed them on to us.

My family and I came over from Italy many years ago and settled in Brooklyn, NY, where we opened a pizzeria. On a sight-seeing trip to Virginia we fell in love with the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley. We started a business in Waynesboro and have opened several restaurants in nearby areas since then.

We would be priviledged and honored to have you as a guest to share our great food, culture and success. You will soon find a little part of Italy is closer than you think!
